Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support

Course Description

This advanced course highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
 

Who Should Take The Course?

Healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and paramedics.

Course Topics

  • Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use  of a bag-mask device, and use of an AED

  • Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest

  • Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as  symptomatic bradycardia

  • Airway management

  • Related pharmacology

  • Management of ACS and stroke

  • Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation team

ACLS Provider Manual. Nurses Love To Learn offers instructor-led AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) courses designed for healthcare professionals that direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies. ACLS courses include ACLS New, ACLS Update, and ACLS Update Skills Only.
  • New: $250.  First time ACLS students.

  • Update & Update Skills Only for students with a current ACLS Course Completion Card.  The course must be completed prior to the current card's expiration date.

    • Update: $160. 

    • Update Skills Only: $65. Additional requirement includes proof of completion of AHA's Heartcode® ACLS Online course.
